We are seeking a qualified and experienced Central Distribution Center Inventory Manager to lead our receiving and inventory (Inbound) departments at Elandsfontein.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in improving stock accuracy across all business units, contributing to enhanced customer service and ensuring alignment with the companys strategic vision.
Purpose of the Job:
To manage and improve the efficiency of the inventory process, ensuring that stock management aligns with the companys goals. This role involves leadership, people management, financial oversight, and continuous improvement of inventory processes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Degree or Tertiary Diploma in Warehousing and Logistics
- 8 years of Stock Management experience, with 3 years in a managerial role
- 5 years of experience in inbound logistics
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee receiving processes and ensure accuracy in SAP capturing
- Improve stock accuracy through daily counts, monthly audits, and batch refills
- Mentor and train subordinates, and manage recruitment and training of new inventory employees
- Financial management including reporting on stock variance and reducing stock write-offs
- Collaborate with internal customers and ensure compliance with service level agreements
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for stock management and accuracy
