About the job Intermediate Business Analyst
Purpose:
Analyse, document and update business requirements for product processes, procedures and systems.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Prevent wastage and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs.
- Improve efficiencies by reviewing assigned business processes to identify and address operational, financial and technological risks.
- Participate in review and testing throughout the project life cycle.
- Conduct quality assurance tests and regression testing of applications and software.
- Conduct and supervise group testing of complete applications and software.
- Identify and eliminate the factors within the applications that may pose a risk to the business.
- Develop new business ideas and improve current business work practices.
- Improve the functionality of our end user services such as web, mobile, and feature phone applications.
- Optimize use of time to ensure maximum output and delivery as per required timeframes.
- Identify possible delays in advance and plan accordingly.
- Make customer needs a primary focus of actions.
- Follow up on requests timeously to ensure that the final product or service meets expectations.
- Effectively manage customer expectations, end-to-end, by maintaining the relationship and customer priority throughout the delivery/resolution process.
- Exceed clients' expectations regarding service delivery.
- Demonstrate concern and understanding for customer expectations and needs, ensuring customer priorities are made a priority.
Qualifications and experience:
- Relevant Degree/Diploma.
- Minimum 5 years experience in business analysis or a related field.
- Experience working on multiple projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficient with SQL and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of data analysis and interpretation.
- Experience with development and interpretation of reports.
- Strong knowledge and use of design process tools (e.g., Visio, Firstmap).
