We are looking for a Market Researcher, responsible for market research, creating product comparisons and reviewing various product-related documentation in the product development cycle. This person will also assist with designing new products and implementing changes to existing products for the Product Development department.
Responsibilities
- Conduct insurance product market research and compile appropriate research reports and product comparisons.
- Assist in designing insurance products based on research done and set out appropriate product rules on product specifications.
- Draft and review marketing material such as newsletters and product brochures where required.
- Review all relevant product documentation where required. This includes product specifications, wordings, schedules, scripting and other product communications.
- Overseeing new market research briefs and keeping track of multiple research projects.
- Perform comprehensive analysis of product performance metrics to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement.
- Use data analysis tools and techniques to extract actionable insights from datasets and present findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
- Support cross-team collaboration in making product-related decisions and determining key performance indicators to establish product success benchmarks.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technology, and advancements in research and data analysis methodologies.
Requirements
- Excellent research/information collection skills and the presentation of information in line with research requirements.
- A person with excellent writing, grammar and language skills and the ability to peer review technical documents for grammar, content and style of writing.
- A person with good planning and organisational abilities – able to prioritise conflicting demands.
Qualifications and experience that would be an advantage
- Any English language, writing, marketing, market research, business analyst or legal qualification would be advantageous.
- 3 years + experience in market research or financial services roles would be advantageous.
This position would require the successful applicant to be based in our offices in George, Western Cape.
