We are looking for multiple Field Engineers or SAP's authorised up to 132kV.
You will be required to carry out general duties of an SAP in ensuring safety from the system during execution of the site works.
A total of 4 x SAP’s required – for work in Grid & Primary Substations – ideally 132kV authorised. The work is in the North West and Scotland, so Scottish Power authorisations (current or lapsed) would be highly advantageous.
This is initially a 12-18 month contract, with a view to longer-term work, and our client is happy to negotiate on the rate.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with various project teams, including the Telecoms contractors and National Grid in the delivery planning, installation, Customer Outstations, and Measurement Points at various sites.
- Ensuring end-to-end commissioning is fulfilled by contractors for on-site substation works.
- Provide standby support for non-authorised SPEN Contractors personnel – normal working hours.
- Coordinate with Licensed Programs including commissioning engineers.
- Coordinate and approve RAMS and establish controlled working areas on site.
- Oversee and liaise with 3rd party electrical contractors who will be carrying out the site wiring works.
- Liaise with the Outstation Customers in the communication of outage schedule planning.
- Point of contact for Customer-related outage queries and interface works.
- Collation of red and green drawings and as-built drawings to be created by the 3rd party electrical contractor.
- Manage and coordinate all site works with 3rd party electrical and civil contractors to ensure site quality and design standards are fulfilled.
- Responsible for ensuring the site is maintained in a clean and tidy condition in accordance with site health & safety standards.
- Provide out of hours site access for hardware faults on a standby rota basis.
