As a Class 1 LGV Driver for our Transport Department, you will be responsible for executing bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide.
This role requires a high level of professionalism and commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
● Operating and maintaining a modern fleet of vehicles in accordance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
● Adhering to agreed shift patterns and ensuring timely arrivals at all designated locations.
● Conducting deliveries and collections at HGV-friendly locations, which may involve trailer swaps or overseeing live unloading and reloading processes.
● Demonstrating adaptability in meeting individual customer needs and maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
● Ensuring all necessary documentation is accurately completed and maintained for each journey.
● Conducting thorough pre-trip inspections of vehicles to guarantee roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
● Promptly reporting any vehicle issues or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
● Strictly adhering to all road traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies regarding safe driving practices.
● Participating in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and stay current with industry best practices.
● Representing DPD in a professional manner at all times, both on the road and when interacting with customers and colleagues.
