As a Class 1 Relief Tramper driver, you will be responsible for making bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide. You will operate modern fleet vehicles on an agreed shift pattern, delivering palette loads to HGV-friendly locations.
Key responsibilities include:
● Execute long-distance driving assignments, covering a minimum of four nights per week.
● Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and maintain compliance with UK driving laws.
● Efficiently manage and operate modern fleet vehicles, ensuring their optimal performance and maintenance.
● Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
● Accurately complete and maintain all required documentation, including delivery receipts and logbooks.
● Utilise digital tachograph equipment correctly and in accordance with regulations.
● Perform loading and unloading of trailers as required, adhering to proper handling procedures.
● Maintain a high standard of professionalism when interacting with customers and representing DPD.
● Promptly report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues to the appropriate personnel.
● Consistently meet delivery deadlines while prioritising safety and compliance.

● Utilise secure overnight parking facilities provided by the company.
