As the Quality Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring quality at the source by verifying conformance to specifications and implementing quality improvement strategies to enhance our processes. You will supervise quality control and production staff, providing training, motivation, and corrective action to ensure standards are met. Liaising with customers and representatives regarding quality issues will form a key part of your role, along with generating reports to track process outcomes and drive informed decision-making. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and conducting internal QMS and FSMS audits, and maintaining food safety standards within the production environment. Additionally, you will oversee the logging, recording, and follow-up of non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented. Maintaining high standards of housekeeping through 5S practices and participating in SHE risk meetings will also be essential. To excel in this role, you should be computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and have a solid understanding of the OHS Act. A matric qualification is required, along with a qualification in Total Quality Management and knowledge of statistical process control.
