Executive Head

The ideal candidate is one who:
- Displays excellent leadership and notable managerial experience – ideally as a Head or Deputy Head.
- Has the ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders and is an effective communicator.
- Has good interpersonal skills and strong team orientation.
- Has an ability to contribute towards strategic financial planning.
- Has a sound business acumen and strong project management skills.
- Has an operational knowledge of high school, primary school and boarding environments.
- Will have an understanding of the legislative framework within which independent education functions.
- Preferably has experience driving scholar enrolments and implementing strategies to reduce turnover.
- Has a sound understanding of Positive Education/Positive Psychology rooted in good school practice.
- Holds the requisite professional qualifications (minimum: B.Ed. or Bachelor degree with PGCE; a Master’s Degree in Education; Psychology or Business advantageous).
- Familiarity with the IEB curriculum would be an advantage.
- Has strong communication, PR, and networking skills to expand our reach and market presence.
- Be able and willing to uphold the Christian ethos, mission and values of the school.
- Is S.A.C.E. registered and clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register.
This successful candidate must be a dynamic and agile leader willing to serve the school community and wishing to nurture character and values-based education across all areas of the school. In the Executive Head role, you will be responsible for directing the whole school achieving excellence. This person should be proactive and keep abreast of innovation in education, with a genuine enthusiasm, commitment and passion for education in South Africa.
