Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is currently looking for a Site Engineer to be based in Gauteng.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinates the technical control aspects on contracts; controls and interprets cost data.
- Advises on technical interpretation of specification requirements; may represent the company with consulting engineers in matters of variance and claims on sites where there is no quantity surveyor.
- Reports to Site Agent.
- Ensures the correct quality requirements are met.
- Runs the area in an efficient manner.
- Ensures the area is run in a safe manner.
- Ensures that there is no waste in the area.
- Maintains a logical filing system.
- Completes correct paperwork.
- Ensures the quantity surveyor is informed timeously.
- Informs your supervisor appropriately.
- Assists the professional team.
- Manages problems effectively and comes up with solutions.
- Communicates effectively with the team in your area, Supervisor, and clients.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- BSc Construction Management Degree / Construction Engineering Degree
- 1-2 years’ experience from a large construction firm.
- Driver’s License
- Own vehicle essential
