Compliance Heath & Safety & Environmental Manager Summary:
- Reporting to the Mill Manager, and part of the senior team.
- To provide competent advice and guidance to the leadership team and site on health, safety, environmental, and compliance matters.
- Manage the site integrated management system within the framework of ISO9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, BSEN 15593, FSC, PEFC, MCERTs and the site EPR Installation Permit requirements including fire prevention planning. This includes management of internal and external audits.
- Leading the above to inspire the team to achieve a zero-harm environment and culture, reflecting their drive to be a world class leader.
- Key contact and liaison point for external agencies, enforcement, and accreditation bodies.
CHSE Manager Qualifications and Experience:
- NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 in Health and Safety or equivalent (or 5+ years experience in a safety leadership role and a NEBOSH Certificate)
- Relevant work experience in manufacturing and/or heavy industry and construction
- Policy implementation and review
- Audit & Inspection experience
- Previous experience will be essential as will a good working knowledge of the Environmental Permitting regulations, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO45001
- Working knowledge of PUWER Regulations 1998 and Management Health Safety Regulations 99
