Key tasks and responsibilities
The Group’s Sales consultant will:
- Obtains client information by making calls to dealers or F&I’s and informing clients about the products and services offered.
- Determines eligibility by comparing client information to requirements.
- Establishes policies by (entering) capturing correct client information; inclusive of premium confirmation and transferring to Underwriting (confirming pricing).
- Informs clients by explaining procedures; correctly answering questions and providing information.
- Maintains communication by reporting problems.
- Maintains and improves quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines; recommending improved procedures.
- Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Contact businesses or private individuals by phone.
- Ensure & Communicate sales scripts to persuade potential customers to purchase a product or service.
- Describe products and services and correctly respond to questions.
- Solve all basic and some complex client queries or problems and re-route more complex problems to a relevant person (another area) or department
- Have an in-depth knowledge of the company’s products and be able to take the customer through the sales process as well as obtaining customer information.
- Obtain possible customer leads and maintain customer/potential customer data bases.
- Follow up on initial contacts and build relationships with dealers or F&I’s
- Achieve agreed closing or conversion ratios and sales
Educational Requirements:
- Matric or equivalent, a tertiary qualification will be an advantage
- Proficient in relevant computer applications and call centre systems
- Good typing skills
- Knowledge of sales principles and methods
- Proven track record in sales
- Required language skills is a must
