Job Description
Civil Engineer with experience in working on various Lender's Technical Advisory and Owner's Engineering services for utility scale renewable energy projects (Wind and Solar) for Energy Advisor position with top consulting engineering firm's Johannesburg or Cape Town office.
Assisting Lead Project Manager with Project Management and delivery of lender’s technical advisory, owner’s engineer and design services within the renewable energy sector for private Independent Power Producer clients, including:
- Project planning and management
- Feasibility studies
- Concept design development and preparation of technical specifications and tender documentation - with a particular focus on photovoltaic, wind, storage and grid systems
Technical due diligence review and construction and operations monitoring project stages - with a particular focus on photovoltaic, wind, storage and grid systems.
Writing technical reports & presentations, compiling design drawings and presentations, preparation of bids and proposals. Support in winning work.
Requirements
- B.Eng., BSc. or B. Tech in Civil engineering, preferably with a further qualification in renewable energy and/or project management and/or financial management.
- At least 4 years work experience relevant to design and implementation of renewable energy projects (Solar and/or Wind).
- Recognizable experience relevant in the energy sector with specific exposure to the renewable energy (Solar and/or Wind).
- Registered with ECSA as Candidate Engineer.
