Our client, a leading Electric Utility Company, is seeking a dynamic professional to drive business development and sales initiatives within the Renewable Energy sector.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving over R100 million in revenue annually, leveraging their industry expertise, and building strong relationships with both government and private sector clients. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact on the growth and sustainability of renewable energy solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve annual sales targets exceeding 100 million rands.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Renewable Energy sector.
- Develop and maintain relationships with government and private sector clients.
- Create strategic partnerships to enhance competitive market offerings.
- Oversee the tender preparation and submission.
- Organize and formulate business development plans.
- Responsible for public relations management with relevant entities in the government and public sector.
- Identify partnering opportunities in the industry to further the objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report on sales performance.
- Develop strategies to meet and exceed business development goals.
- Lead and mentor junior business development staff.
- Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Degree in Sales or Business Development.
- A Renewable Energy qualification would be advantageous.
- 10 years of experience in a similar environment.
- Proven track record of achieving significant sales targets (over 100 million rand per year).
- Extensive experience in both government and private sector projects.
- Industry knowledge within the Renewable Energy sector.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
