A leader in the manufacturing, security and protection space requires the assistance of a seasoned Finance Manager with the ability to provide strong financial leadership. Responsible for planning the regional budget, business planning and day to day management of the Accounting operations. Responsibilities:
- Consult and educate on complex financial and operational matters to all department leaders
- Liaise with General Manager and Senior Management to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, and understand operations
- Manage the accounting daily activities, ensure control is in place, and manage team performance and development
- Manage accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, G/L, Inventory/Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
- Lead month-end closing, prepare monthly financial statements and operational reports
- Analyse variances (Material/Labour/Overheads) and communicate explanations to management with proposed actions
- Calculate Activity Based Costing, Standard Costing, and Pricing
- Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for the region
- Work across organisation boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve regional and corporate objectives
- Train new staff and existing staff
- Share best practices across global finance/plant controller, including process improvements, financial modelling, and procedure changes
- Implement and maintain plant internal controls necessary to ensure reporting integrity
- Responsible for working capital management, cash forecasting, and liaising with suppliers and customers to improve working capital management and cash collections
- Lead year-end Audit activities
