Requirements
Grade 12
Qualified Mechanic Artisan or Engineering Qualification
8 – 10 years experience in a technical environment
5 years management experience
Managing large staff
Tertiary qualification in Road Transport Management (Advantage)
Track record managing a large workshop with commercial vehicles
Responsibilities
- Manage complete technical function in the business unit
- Ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Maintenance of facilities, tools, and equipment
- Manage and develop technical personnel
- Manage department budget and targets
- Control warrant/maintenance processes/systems and audits
- Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety
- Service and maintenance of all customer fleets
- Manage all service levels/quality requirements by respective OEMs
- Travel within company operational areas
- Required to work long hours when necessary
