INTRODUCTION:
Our client, an established and busy dealership in Durban (Upper Highway Area), is seeking to employ an experienced Motor Mechanic that is self-motivated, friendly, and hardworking. The Motor Mechanic will be filling the role of a Quality Controller / Vehicle Tester and must be able to work independently.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid South African Driver’s License.
- Senior Certificate.
- Trade Test Certificate.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years post trade certification.
- Diagnostic tool: ISTA Beneficial.
SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to take instructions and complete tasks.
- Work Independently.
- Take initiative without overstepping boundaries.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to perform various tasks such as:
- Test driving vehicles with clients to ensure that clients' concerns are understood.
- Ensuring that the job card has all relevant information pertaining to the services and repairs.
- Test driving vehicles after services and repairs prior to the client collecting the vehicle.
- Test driving vehicles after services and repairs with the client (if needed).
- Electrical Diagnostics.
- Mechanical Diagnostics.
