The retail business offers a comprehensive range of local and offshore investment products to individual (end) investors and financial planners. Our investment options include actively and passively managed unit trusts, hedge funds, and multi-managed solutions for financial planners. Our retail business has been segmented based on different client profiles and assets under management into:
- Independent Financial Advisers, including our Graviton partners (who are our higher net worth IFAs)
- Sanlam Financial Advisers (our tied agents who sell Sanlam-only products)
- Direct (end) retail clients - the ‘end investor’
- Strategic partners (large multi managers)
Responsibilities:
- Be actively involved in the greater SI business to implement new processes to enhance output and ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations.
- Process monthly retail AUM and Flow data.
- Provide operational and data support to the Retail distribution team.
- Manage and organise the team intranet site.
- Manage relationships with Internal and External retail partners.
- Represent Retail Distribution in operational projects and forums.
- Ensure online retail channels are updated and contain information that is fit for client consumption.
- Facilitate the retail communication strategy, by managing retail distribution lists and obtaining data related to communications.
- Manage activities relating to the retail CRM system.
What will make you successful in this role?
- Business degree with at least 5 years’ experience
- Minimum 5 years in-depth retail operational experience
- Knowledge of retail products including CIS, ETF, Hedge Funds & Structured Products
- Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office
Qualification and Experience
Degree or Diploma with 4 to 5 years related experience

- Create and execute Operations Management infrastructure including trend analysis for future efficiencies
