Datacentrix is looking for an IT Asset Administrator with finance experience and knowledge . The IT Asset Administrator will be responsible for the control of internal IT assets and biometric access system control . The applicant must showcase the following qualities: consistency, trustworthiness, dependability, and must be deadline-driven .
Qualification and Experience Required:
- Matric Certificate
- IT Diploma
- 1 - 3 years experience in the asset management field
- Must have good MS Excel skills – minimum intermediate level certification
- Finance knowledge and background will be advantageous
Responsibilities: - Keeping track of IT assets, including hardware and software licenses, and ensuring that they are used effectively
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies related to data privacy, security, and access
- Managing relationships with IT vendors, including negotiating and renewing contracts, evaluating and procuring new technologies, and resolving issues
- Maintaining accurate documentation of IT systems and processes, including network diagrams, system configurations, and user guides
- Collaborating with other IT staff and departments to ensure smooth functioning of IT services and projects
- Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data
- Coordinating and managing monthly application backup and restore testing
- Assisting in preparing and continuously verifying the IT disaster recovery and continuity plan
- Performing various monthly reconciliations on Active Directory users and endpoint control
- Assisting the Group IT manager with audit evidence for all internal and external IT audits including ISO audits and POPIA compliance
