JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong underground mining background, including cold service design.
- Under general supervision, perform and check calculations and design.
- If serving in a Lead or Area Lead position, perform all or some of the following:
- Organize/plan jobs, write/review specifications, prepare/maintain schedules, develop/monitor estimates and manpower forecasts, assign work, work with project/client/field, material procurement, permit, and subcontract activities.
- Prepare and perform schedules, estimates, progress reports, material forecasts, meetings, procurement activities, etc.
- Assist in audits.
- Assist, as required, in the development of department standards and procedures.
- Utilize vendor data and work with personnel from other disciplines as required for the performance of designs.
- Perform squad check of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines.
- Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals.
- Actively participate in external technical seminars and self-enroll in advance management training courses.
- Develop client relations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum BSC / Beng in Engineering degree.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with strong underground mining background, including cold service design within Mining Industry.
- Professional Registration and membership in external technical society preferred.
