Our client is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Process payroll in a timely manner.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage and track inventory levels.
- Handle tax filings and assist with audit preparations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Monitor and manage cash flow.
- Assist in developing internal controls and policies.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax filings.
- Knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Certification in bookkeeping (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus.
