Job title: Senior Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer
Location: Warrington (Hybrid 3 days a week in the office)
Contract position: 12 months inside IR35
As a Senior E, C & I Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical construction expertise and input into project gated process activities, constructability programme, risk management exercises, and ensuring the outputs are embedded in the construction work scope and strategies.
Responsibilities of Senior E, C & I include:
- Ensuring design is produced in line with required Regulatory, Customer and Company standards
- Delivery, supervision, and verification of EC&I related engineering design deliverables to cost, schedule and quality
- Overseeing team progressing and reporting
- Interface coordination with other engineering disciplines
- Identifying discipline resource needs and supporting in the recruitment process
- Ensuring design change and configuration is effectively managed
- Overall management and coordination of EC&I team on the project
- The identification of changes in the scope of work and ensuring that appropriate change requests are implemented
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience of working within existing sites is highly desirable though not essential providing that suitable similar experience can be demonstrated
- The candidate shall ideally have experience in a similar role and should ideally be an Incorporated/Chartered Engineer or be working towards gaining professional status. However, experience at all levels will be considered
- Produce and maintain key deliverable documents/reports, calculations, schedules, etc. to programme and of appropriate quality
- Liaise and coordinate with other design disciplines and plant engineering as necessary in the production of preliminary and detail design deliverables
- Support the CE&I design team in meetings and reviews
- Design in accordance with the IET 18th edition (BS7671) ideally
- Conversant with existing CAE tools (e.g. AutoCAD, CAESAR, PDMS).
BPSS security clearance will be required for the role.
