Job Purpose, Tasks, and Responsibilities
As an Audit and Accounting Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for:
- Producing high-quality, up-to-date training materials that are technically correct and practical for clients.
- Presenting agreed topics in formats and locations tailored to client needs and Mercia s strategic direction.
- Conducting independent, objective file reviews to evaluate accountancy practices compliance with regulatory standards.
- Writing and technically checking content for compliance and methodology products.
- Supporting the Product team with technical, client, and competitor insights to guide product decisions.
- Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Client Success teams to enhance client relationships and ensure business growth.

What We re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Excellent technical knowledge in audit, accounts, and compliance regulation.
- Strong research skills to stay current with changing regulations.
- Exceptional commercial awareness of the UK accounting and auditing profession.
- Professional qualification to ACA standard or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical knowledge clearly.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
It would be great if you also have:
- Confidence and competence as a presenter.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently.
