My client is looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Level II to join on them on a contract basis. You will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing engineering within any given area of the business.

Role: Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Level II
Pay: 24.27 per hour PAYE (plus holiday pay in addition)
Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Hours: 37 hours per week Monday - Friday
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Full BPSS Screening ( Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, i.e. UK DBS and Drugs Screening.
Job Profile
Develop and implement strategies to drive overall product and process improvements as well as product integrity on existing products.
Support the Development and introduction of new products in line with client
Drive & deliver any prototypes for process or design validation, as qualification hardware
Get back to standard any defect issues in a prompt manner
Lead and co-ordinate cell manufacturing activities between Product Engineers, Operations, ME and Quality and Manufacturing Assurance team.
Plan, deploy, monitor and control site-level improvement initiatives to drive Productivity (and includes Machining programme writing and verification and fixturing design).
Support customer and supplier communications to improve product quality and delivery.
Skills/Experience Required
Technical expert for products manufactured & processes within their cell(s)
Proven experience within the general application of engineering. This could be within mechanical/electrical/manufacturing
Previous experience of participating, and actioning continuous improvement projects
Experience of PFMEA is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Education & Training
Essential - Manufacturing Engineering experience.
Relevant Degree
