My client based in Cradley Heath is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to fabricate steel with precision. You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings and specifications, ensuring that all work meets quality standards and safety regulations.
Duties
- Fabricate steel according to engineering specifications and drawings.
- Utilise various welding techniques, including stick welding, to join metal parts effectively.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Assemble fabricated parts into final products, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication and welding, with a strong understanding of steel work.
- Mig welding
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the fabrication process.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Hours
- Monday - Thursday 6:30am-3:30pm
- Friday 6:30am - 11:30pm
- Full time / Temp to Perm
- Salary DOE
