Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Aylesford, Kent
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent - Days only
Salary: 50,000 per annum
We are seeking a Manufacturing/Production Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all Engineering and Facility activities at our client's Aylesford site. This role involves a blend of hands-on work and delegation, providing leadership and direction to the team while supporting all departments.
Day-to-day of the Maintenance Supervisor role:
- Supervise and support a team of technicians on technical matters, improving service delivery and reducing costs.
- Monitor and report on departmental KPIs.
- Conduct engineer audits and deliver Toolbox Talks.
- Manage engineering aspects from planning to completion.
- Develop practices to improve productivity and product quality.
- Develop new health and safety policies and conduct in-house training on best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date records and actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure food hygiene and safety standards are consistently upheld.
Required Skills & Qualifications of the Maintenance Supervisor:
- Formal engineering qualification.
- Experience in electrical and mechanical installation.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices; IOSH or higher preferred.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Proficient in incident investigation, risk assessments, and audit inspections.
- Ability to deliver effective training.
