You will be a highly motivated individual who will be able to direct and coordinate the purchase of a range of materials for the Company whilst ensuring that they are working in accordance with specifications, budgets and agreed quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
Analysing the daily stock requirement spreadsheet, placing necessary purchase orders using supplier pricing structures set up by the buyers.
Monitoring purchase orders to ensure that materials are confirmed, delivered on time, at the agreed price, within the agreed specification whilst complying with quality standards.
Maintaining regular supplier contact, resolving any problems to meet production requirements.
Maintaining regular contact with factory management, planning and customer service teams.
Maintaining and updating raw material 'Goods In' schedule for the Warehouse Department, keeping within daily and weekly delivery quotas.
Associated administration work.
Assisting Inventory and Supply Chain Managers on weekly/monthly raw materials reporting demands where required.
You will be able to demonstrate:
2 years procurement experience (minimum), ideally from food or manufacturing industry.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to balance conflicting demands
Excellent time management with ability to remain calm under pressure.
Prioritising skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
Excellent analytical skills.
IT Literate (Excel)
Committed, reliable team player.
ERP knowledge would be advantageous but not essential.
