We are looking for a Housing Options Advisor to join the team of a well-established housing organisation in the Birmingham area. This role is offering a temporary position, helping to assist with the prevention of homelessness.

Temporary - 3 months plus
As a Housing Options Advisor, you will be:
- Proactive in prevention of homelessness and will support customers through the range of housing options available to them.
- Help conduct home visits to verify homelessness
- Securing temporary accommodation for homeless persons. This will involve liaising and negotiating with accommodation providers to secure a provision for the homeless persons.
- Preparing and serving of notices to quit to those customers in temporary accommodation where we are seeking possession.
- Providing support on the provision of temporary accommodation
- Complete licence agreements with prospective occupants and ensure housing benefit applications are registered online to maximise our income generation.
To be successful as a Housing Options Advisor, you will have previous experience in:
- Working within social housing, specifically in a housing options or homelessness prevention team
- Dealing with tenants to prevent homelessness
- Ability to communicate effectively via written and verbal communication
