experienced Financial Manager to join their dynamic finance team on a
permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional with a solid background in manufacturing finance
to manage and optimize financial operations, including costing, stock management, and reporting, to enhance the overall financial performance of the business. Duties: - Oversee the preparation and management of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Lead the costing function, including the management of Bill of Materials (BOMs), Works in Progress (WIPs), and manufacturing-related expenses.
- Manage the stock control process, including inventory valuation, stock reconciliations, and optimization of stock management practices across the business.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, providing detailed financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance insights for senior management.
- Monitor and control the financial aspects of imports and exports, ensuring proper financial treatment, compliance with customs duties, and optimizing cost structures.
- Drive process improvements within the finance function to ensure more efficient reporting, cost management, and stock control.
- Ensure that financial controls are in place, including adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning financial plans with business objectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, procurement, logistics) to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Qualifications & skills: - BCom degree and completed articles.
- 3 to 5 years of post-article experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in costing, BOMs, WIPs, and stock management.
- Familiarity with imports/exports, including the financial aspects of customs duties and international trade.
