We are seeking a diligent and experienced Senior Accountant
to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of clients and build solid relationships with both team members and clients. This role will entail working with both South African and UK reporting standards as we have an office in Scotland. Learning UK accounting and tax details will be part of the role.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Tax Preparation: Oversee the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual tax returns, ensuring all documents are accurate, compliant with South African and UK tax laws, and submitted on time.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our team of accountants, providing mentorship when needed and facilitating a supportive, communicative environment.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members, fostering a climate of mutual respect, open communication, and ongoing professional growth.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning to support the firm's financial objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with all South African, UK tax laws and regulations, ensuring our firm and clients remain compliant.
- Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for a group of clients, addressing inquiries, providing financial advice, and ensuring complete client satisfaction.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. An advanced degree or ACCA, ACA, CIMA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in an accounting role, preferably within an accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of SA GAAP, UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional client service skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
The work is office-based (in Fourways) with standard working hours. Travel to clients may be required sometimes.
