Novus Print: Montague Gardens is seeking to appoint a Foreman: Mechanical with knowledge and experience within a FMCG printing environment, to provide innovative leadership for the technical team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Technical Manager.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
- Manage technicians/artisans to implement approved solutions
- Facilitate and coordinate the technical Toolbox meetings
- Mentor Technicians and Artisans and assist with fault finding
- Procure the critical parts and maintain minimum stock levels
- Checking that correct spares and materials are available as and when needed
- Producing an investigation report with proposals and alternative solutions
- Promoting Plant safety regulations according to the Occupational Health Safety Act
- Following up on specific plant non-conformance
- Investigating incidents to establish non-compliance and conduct root cause analysis
- Providing input and assisting with design specifications to improve plant efficiency
- Perform administrative duties
- Risk assessments and contractor management
- Initiating of disciplinary hearings and management of staff absenteeism
- Budget control of repairs and maintenance costs
- Managing computer maintenance system (Shopware)
