In this critical role, you'll spearhead procurement processes! Your responsibilities will include awarding orders in collaboration with maintenance teams, scrutinising and comparing technical quotes, negotiating pricing, and imposing penalties based on agreed terms. Additionally, you'll analyse expenditures to refine sourcing processes, ensuring optimal quality and cost-effectiveness, and manage supplier relations to meet targets.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Purchasing Management, with technical qualifications considered an asset. A minimum of 5 years experience in a procurement role within a related industry is essential. You should also possess strong conflict management and negotiation skills, superior customer service, and excellent analytical abilities. Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel, is required, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
