Purpose of Role
The role is responsible for ensuring that the Metal Accountant functions are delivered to the required quality and standards. The role is responsible for ensuring continuous flow, integrity of all Production data and information and to be in compliance with the Code of Practice Metal Accounting and Best practices. Consolidate and validate all final technical data and information to be used by Management for decision making.
Role Context
- Metal accounting data and statistical analysis
- Timeous provision of daily reports from production data to Management
- Compile data in a customized reporting format
- Compile data for Production reports as and when required
- Assist management with compilation of statistics and reports
- Reconciliation of stocks (Process Chrome & PGM)
- Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports for financial accounting
- Managing effectively the critical cut-off dates for reporting/communication
- Ability to work accurately and independently as well as part of a team and the ability to cope with high stress production environments
Qualifications
- Grade 12, Mathematics, Functional Mathematics & Science will be an advantage
Job Specific Experience:
- Understanding and developing spreadsheets
- Accounting Methods and Principles
- MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Microsoft and any other programs relative to metal accounting activities
- Driver’s license Code 08

Must be medically fit
