Job Overview:
As a Team Manager, you will report directly to the Shift Manager and lead a team of Process Workers within your designated production area. You will have the support of Supervisors, Machine Controllers, Machine Operators, and Production QA's to ensure smooth operations. Your key responsibility is to engage, motivate, and support your team, while fostering a positive and productive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- People Management: Lead and manage your team, ensuring their development aligns with company values and policies. This includes training, coaching, performance and absence management, conducting appraisals, and maintaining a motivated and engaged team.
- Communication & Planning: You will prioritise and implement production plans effectively, ensuring targets are met while maintaining strong communication with the team and other departments.
- Team Development: Foster growth within your team by identifying training opportunities, encouraging progression, and supporting individual development.
- Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with key teams across the business to ensure alignment and effective performance.
- Cost & Risk Management: Manage resources effectively and ensure adherence to risk assessments, health, and food safety standards.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in people management, with strong leadership skills.
- Background in manufacturing, warehouse, or a related field.
- Experience in workforce planning and multitasking to meet varying demands.
- Ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team, showing respect for different nationalities and language abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach, willing to step in and support the team as needed.
