We are looking for a GFM that will oversee the Expense side of the business
Responsible for overseeing the expense management process across the organization. This role involves managing, analyzing, and reporting on expenses, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and providing strategic insights to optimize cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Expense Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of company expenses.
- Develop and implement expense policies and procedures.
- Ensure all expenses are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Oversee and remain accountable for the Procurement department and team.
- Utilize the Procurement Manager to ensure Operational Efficiency as well as sound fiscal processes.
2. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual expense reports.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on expense trends.
- Develop expense forecasts and budgets in collaboration with department heads.
3. Compliance and Controls:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Implement and monitor internal controls related to expense management.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and integrity of expense data.
4. Strategic Planning and Cost Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on expense management.
- Support the implementation of cost control initiatives.
5. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the expense management team.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
6. Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with internal and external auditors.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment on expense policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders on expense-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Registered CA or similar.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on expense management.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
