The Superintendent Pharmacist role is a busy, hands-on position, working with my clients team of Consulting Doctors. You will be responsible for accurately filling prescriptions, preparing medications for dispatch, and ensuring compliance with stock management and processes. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing our plans for wholesale operations and implementing new procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance with regulations.

As we expand, we're seeking a qualified Pharmacist to play a pivotal role in our growing
business offer. The successful candidate will not only contribute to our patient services
but will also be instrumental in shaping the future of our pharmacy, taking on the role of
Superintendent Pharmacist.
Key Duties
Dispensing and dispatching medicines to our patients.
Verifying dosage and ensuring safe and accurate supply of medications.
Establishing and maintaining procedures for packaging and labelling in compliance with legal standards.
Ensuring proper storage conditions, maintaining temperature logs, and implementing procedures for the safe disposal of expired or returned medicines.
Maintaining a register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes.
Collaborating with clinicians to address prescription queries and evaluate medication effectiveness.
Analysing prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and prevent harmful interactions.
Ensuring compliance with GPhC 'Standards for Pharmacy Professionals' and legal requirements.
Documenting and communicating effective working practices and standard operating procedures as required by the GPhC.
Maintaining prescription records in accordance with GPhC and legal requirements.
Supervising and providing leadership to pharmacy staff.
Contributing to the pharmacy's efficiency and profitability through monitoring and auditing medicines expenditure and introducing improved working practices.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements
UK qualified, registered Pharmacist with a valid GPhC Number.
Thorough understanding of Pharmacy Laws and Regulations.
Self-motivated individual with exceptional attention to detail.
Right to work in the UK.
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience in developing/managing Pharmacy wholesale.
Excellent computer literacy.
Character and personality conducive to delivering supportive, caring service.
Attention to detail for ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
Enthusiasm and self-motivation for independent work in a small team.
Strong time management skills to efficiently manage dispensing responsibilities.
Familiarity with diary management systems and online services.
Interest in health promotion, nutrition, and behavioural change.
