Proactive Personnel are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition. There will be regular ADHOC and Long term work available for the right candidate. Most Night work will be trunking to Hubs and RDC's
*Duties*
* Operate a lorry in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
* Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working order.
* Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Adhere to company policies regarding safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service.
* Assist in the training of new drivers as required.
*Skills*
* Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid HGV licence.
* Familiarity with delivery driving, particularly in flatbed operations, is advantageous.
* Strong navigational skills and the ability to read maps or use GPS systems effectively.
* Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
* Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
* Ability to perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading cargo safely.
* Full and valid CPC
