Job Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet patients in a warm and friendly manner
- Assisting with dental procedures and preparing the patient file in respect of information e.g.,
- Diary management
- Patient account management / invoicing
- Preparing patients for dental work.
- Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
- Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
- Assisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessary.
- Providing great patient care.
- Recording treatment information in patient records.
- Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
- Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.
- Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Caring for dental equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Dental Assisting Diploma – advantageous but not required
- Must be registered with Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Dental Assistant
- At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar dental assistant position
- Any medical patient software system is beneficial

Working hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8H00 – 17H00
Salary and benefits:
- R15,000 – R17,000 per month - depending on experience
- 20 working days of leave
- Performance-based bonus in December
