Manage hotel operations to ensure safety, security, conservation and compliance at high levels as Chief Engineer leading the Engineering Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations, including service standards, equipment schedules and work schedules.
- Communicate with Housekeeping to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities.
- Develop systems and procedures for Guest and Team Member health and safety, as well as plant and property conditions.
- Communicate with Government agencies to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
- Prepare budgets for Engineering.
- Perform daily checks, diagnose and repair mechanical equipment, and conduct lift emergency release procedures.
- Maintain hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure safety and take action when necessary.
- Develop and direct emergency programs, implement energy conservation programs, and coordinate renovation bidding.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering.
- Degree in Engineering or similar.
- Exposure to budgeting and basic accounting.
- Positive attitude, good communication skills, and commitment to customer service.
- Strong leadership skills, previous experience of managing a team, and excellent grooming standards.
- Flexibility to respond to different work situations and ability to work under pressure.
- First Aid.
