Position: Membership Manager
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Role Summary:
The Membership Manager should be passionate to lead the sales team and grow business membership. The sales executive's responsibilities include generating leads, making sales calls, continuously updating our CRM database, and meeting sales targets. The ideal candidate for the role should be an inspiring tried and tested candidate that is able to drive sales growth. Must be able to build rapport with customers including CEOs of large firms and close sales.
Minimum Qualification Criteria:
- Matric.
- BCom in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration or related field would be advantageous.
- 5+ years of sales experience.
- 10 years’ experience in engaging with leaders of large firms (Directors and CEOs) - Compulsory.
- Excellent customer service and sales skills.
- Strong verbal and written communicator.
- Excellent phone and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, and sales software programs.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify emerging markets that could be valuable to growth.
- Setting sales goals and developing sales strategies.
- Researching prospects and generating leads.
- Contacting potential and existing customers on the phone, by email, and in person.
- Handling customer questions, inquiries, and complaints.
- Preparing and sending quotes and proposals.
- Managing the sales process through specific software programs.
- Building and maintaining a CRM database.
- Meeting daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Participating in sales team meetings.
- Tracking sales goals and working with team members who need help reaching those goals.
- Serving as a representative of the company at conferences, events, trade shows, and other industry functions.
- Developing strategies to increase membership.
- Improving sales and CRM processes and practices.
- Following up on new leads, engaging decision makers, understanding their needs, and matching the most relevant parts of our clients' value proposition to sign up new members.
