Duties & Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching Undergraduate Modules
- Teaching and Supervision: Postgraduate
- Research Publications
- Community Service
- Study Guide and Material Development
- Support of Research Entity
- Initiating and Planning of Strategic Research Initiatives
Desired Experience & Qualification
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A PhD in Curriculum Studies (NQF level 9).
- A minimum of 3 years’ proven and comprehensive teaching experience in higher education.
- Author of a substantial number of quality accredited research articles/books/chapters in the field.
- Leading and participating in research projects is preferable.
- Supervisor of completed masters and PhD studies.
Functional / Technical Competencies (Knowledge and Skills):
- Have a proven record of presenting at/attending relevant national and international conferences.
- Demonstrate leadership in the field.
- Involvement in teaching and/or research activities at community level.
- Record of national and international networking, collaboration, and recognition.
Behavioural Competencies:
- Team worker.
- Good interpersonal relations.
Remuneration:
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
