Job Description :
We are seeking a Safety Officer to support and implement our safety management system, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate requirements.
Responsibilities :
– Implement and monitor safety management system requirements
– Provide safety advice to supervisors and middle management
– Assist in evaluating and assessing solutions for new projects
– Coordinate revision of safety procedures and documentation
– Assist in investigating safety incidents and implementing corrective actions
– Compile reports and statistics for statutory requirements
– Conduct audits and inspections
– Develop training modules and coordinate training
– Compile annual Safety Improvement Plan
Requirements :
– Degree or Diploma in Safety Management (or equivalent)
– 1-2 years safety experience in a mine, marine, or similar environment
– SAMTRAC or NEBOSH certification (advantageous)
– ISO45001 Auditors Certificate training
– Strong computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel)
– Ability to travel to sea for short periods
– Driver’s License and own transport (preferable)
