An Accounting and Legal Firm based in George is looking for Accounting Seniors in the Entrepreneurial Advisory Division. We are looking for confident all-rounders with an interest in nurturing and coaching young talent and developing business relationships. Successful candidates will be able to operate and lead effectively in a busy team, juggling multiple assignments, deadlines and competing priorities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide junior staff with clear direction, goals and objectives.
- Set appropriate standards and create a positive work climate.
- Provide coaching and/or training to improve performance.
- Perform audit fieldwork.
- Produce financial statements that are clear, concise and error-free for companies, close corporations, trusts and individuals.
- Apply technical expertise and analyze data effectively.
- Finalize and propose audit opinions and financial statements.
- Complete timesheets.
- Manage own and others’ time effectively.
- Monitor progress and performance against deadlines and milestones.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Completed SAICA training contract – Audit & Assurance elective.
- Completed CTA (preference).
- Knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.
- Working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Pastel.
- Proficient in CaseWare working papers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize duties.
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken) (English and Afrikaans).
Package & Remuneration
R22 000 to R30 000 per month, CTC
