Bau-afrika seeks to employ an experienced, young, dynamic, and motivated Professional Civil Engineer / Civil Engineering Technologist to join a well-established small Consulting Engineering practice located in Durbanville (Cape Town).
The candidate must have 10 years’ experience as a Civil Engineering Consultant with post-graduate management and design experience in municipal infrastructure projects (Water reticulation networks, sewer networks, stormwater network, roads, and parking areas).
The candidate must be available to commence duties on multiple Civil Engineering related projects with immediate effect. This is a permanent position subject to a probation period of six months. The successful candidate will form part of the managing structure within the practice and will support the Directors in the administration of the practice.

- Civil Engineering Design
- Project Management
- Management experience within a Consulting Engineering practice
- Experience in construction monitoring
- Quality management and monitoring
- Knowledge of industry safety standards
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Civil3D experience
- Proficient in Civil Designer
- Good report writing skills
- Involved in civil projects from concept to completion
- Ability to source work
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- BSc / BTech Civil Engineering
- Professionally Registered
- 10 years’ experience in Civil Engineering
- A valid driver’s license
- Dynamic
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure
