Role purpose/Business Unit
An exciting opportunity exists within an innovative Fintech team who serve the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) industry. As part of the broader Vodacom Financial Services team guided by our financial inclusive strategy, we are looking for an experienced Portfolio or Product Manager to own our Unsecured Lending Business Term Advance product across the value chain through client insights, product enhancements, stakeholder engagement, and to be accountable for product profitability and overall performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage Business Term Advance product day to day to deliver product performance and profitability; Collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning Marketing, Sales, IT, and CX to scale the product so that the year on year growth targets are achieved; Own the execution of the Unsecured Business Lending market place Create new features to enhance the VodaLend business value proposition and to ensure requisite scale is achieved; Identify and manage potential third party product partners and negotiate commercial positions with them; Provide insights to the broader team around innovation and developments within the Business Lending and Fintech industry, and setup business cases for evaluation on new ideas; Daily, weekly and monthly product performance reports and occasional presentations to senior management team
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Matric essential Relevant 3- or 4-year Business degree essential Minimum of 8 years’ experience within the Product development essential Fintech or Business Lending experience preferred
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
Prior Business Lending product design and development experience is essential A detailed knowledge understanding of a the fast-paced fintech lending industry is essential Understanding of regulatory requirements essential
