Responsibilities - Collect and analyze geological and geophysical data
- Conduct seismic interpretation and mapping
- Apply geophysical data and techniques to oil and gas discovery
- Develop models to predict the potential for oil and gas under the earths surface
- Work with teams to plan drilling efforts based on interpretation of data
- Present findings to company executives and team members
- Maintain knowledge of current industry methods and tools
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications - Proven work experience as a Geophysicist in oil and gas industry
- Strong understanding of geological and geophysical concepts
- Proficient in geophysical software
- Excellent data interpretation skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams
- BSc degree in Geophysics, Geology or related field
- MSc or PhD in Geophysics is preferred
