A well known PET manufacturing company is looking for fill a Sales Manager - PET role based in JHB North. The role will report to the National Sales Manager.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that we sell all PET volumes at the highest possible/reasonable price.
- Maintain healthy customer relationships with Key Accounts.
- Understand the competitive forces and commodities and introduce differentiation of grades.
- Liaise with all levels at major key customers to ensure best service levels.
- Promote company values to foster partnerships with our customers.
- Conduct ethical dealings in line with good corporate governance in line with Kap requirements.
- Provide insight into market trends through available data sources/portals (import stats, ICIS, WoodMac).
- Manage all commercial elements relating to responsible portfolio.
- Includes negotiations of monthly prices, sales administration, forecasting, allocating stocks, negotiating securities, competitive market information, competitive grade information, market application segmentation analysis.
- Meets sales and volume budget.
- Market assessment market report / segmentation.
- Account plans.
- Tracking customer performance (volume and margin).
- Manages offtakes vs credit limits and customer payment compliance.
- Provide in-depth analysis into trends.
MINIMUM CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Commercial and/or Technical qualification
- at least 5 years commercial / sales experience
- The role will suit a self-developer with proven negotiation skills, has a sales mindset and the ability to solve problems as they arise.
- A high level of ethics and alignment with the company values.
- Financial knowledge.
- Market and industry knowledge including an understanding of customer operational needs.
- Good planning, organizing and forecasting and sales budgeting skills.
- Good understanding of the value and supply chain.
