Guides the organisation through change by managing the change process across all areas within the re-engineering process. Design, manage and execute all Stakeholder, Communication, Impact Assessment, Training and Support Strategies, using structured processes, sound methodologies and project management disciplines. Lead the Change Management process to ensure solutions are successfully implemented, and meet client and business requirements. Lead, manage and motivate subordinates to assist with individual, Portfolio and divisional growth and development.

The Change Manager for the Data Strategy delivery is an essential role to ensure that the delivery of the Data Strategy, through data use cases and initiatives to accelerate the maturity towards a data-driven organisation, achieve the objectives and outcomes.
Focusing on the human side of change, this role prepares, supports, and equips teams to embrace new processes, systems, technologies, and structures. By implementing targeted change management strategies and frameworks, the Change Manager anticipates and mitigates resistance, fostering a culture of adoption across all levels to successfully meet the organization’s data strategy objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Applying a structured methodology and lead change management activities.
- Leverage a change management methodology, process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required.
- Enable the design, development, delivery and management of key communications. Develop the Data Strategy brand identity for consistent expression in all change management activities and messaging efforts.
- Conduct change impact assessments and analyse the results to define strategies and plans for the various stakeholder groups. Identify and manage anticipated and persistent resistance. Track and manage the change impact.
- Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of coaching, mentorship and training interventions and programs. Consult and coach project teams. Support and engage senior leaders. Coach people managers and supervisors.
- Create and maintain a network of change advocates and agents relevant to ensure successful change awareness and ultimate adoption. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align change management efforts with broader data strategy.
- Define the change management approach and plans applying the agreed method and framework. Plan, manage and report status. Identify, analyse and prepare risk mitigation tactics. Track and report blockers, constraints and issues. Integrate change management activities into the project plan(s) and Agile delivery framework.
- Create new innovative channels and mechanisms to drive change awareness and adoption. Includes hosting annual Data Week.
- Using data and feedback adjust strategies and plans to ensure sustained adoption and long-term impact. Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
- Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities. Coordinate efforts with other specialists (internal and external): HR, Events management team, Marketing and Corporate communication, Change management Centre of Excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ year Bachelor degree: Industrial psychology, business, or similar.
- A Change management (CM) certification such as: Prosci, Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), APMG Change Management Practitioner, Certified Organisational CM Professional (OCMP), Lean CM, PRINCE2 Agile or PMP with focus on CM, Kotter Model.
- Advanced Degree: Honors or Master’s beneficial to ensure strategic alignment and leadership in delivery.
- Data Management/Analytics certification: Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), or related.
- Minimum 7 years experience as a Change Manager within a large organisation. Proven experience in change management, ideally within data transformation, digital transformation, or technology-driven environments.
- At least 5 years’ experience working in the Insurance and/or Financial Services industry to demonstrate understanding of the business context and regulatory environment.
- Knowledge of, and experience in, working with data management frameworks (such as DAMA), and have a strong understanding of data strategy, data systems, and their impact on business operations and decision-making processes.
- Extensive experience working in Agile teams, with a sound understanding of the Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills to address resistance and ensure smooth transitions. Sound experience working with stakeholders across various levels and locations (onshore and offshore), ensuring alignment and satisfaction through clear communication and collaboration.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive organizational readiness for data-driven change.
- Sound understanding of the system development lifecycle processes and methods from business concept to deployment stages.
- Familiarity with tools: Confluence and SharePoint, according to organizational standards for change management and collaboration.
