We have a client with an amazing opportunity based in Cape Town, Western Cape Role : Quantity Surveyor Construction & Building Company Industry : Construction / Building Level : Intermediate to Senior Key Requirements: Bachelors or Honors in Quantity Surveying 3 years as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction/building industry. Strong understanding of cost estimation, financial planning, and budget management. Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in costings and financial documentation. Strong knowledge of industry standards, construction contracts, and regulations. Ability to prepare and submit competitive and detailed quotes, aligned with business objectives. Experience in overseeing project financials from budgeting through to cost control and forecasting. Previous experience working with contractors, suppliers, and project management teams to ensure projects are delivered on budget is a must. Personal Attributes: Highly organized and methodical, with a strong focus on accuracy and financial integrity. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, suppliers, and contractors. Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities. Self-motivated and proactive, able to work autonomously while being part of a collaborative team. Ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs and deliver solutions under pressure.
