Your Role
In the role of Team Lead Series Procurement, you will face various tasks on a daily basis, as you combine the professional activities of a purchaser with a leadership role.
The activities listed here are of central importance:

Management and further development of an international team of purchasers and Life Cycle Managers in Procurement at multiple locations of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG

Selection, evaluation, and support of suitable suppliers throughout the entire life cycle in collaboration with category management and relevant internal interfaces (e.g., production, development, quality)

Supplier management and ensuring uninterrupted series supply for all locations of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG in the relevant commodity groups, as well as supporting cross-site harmonization and bundling

Management of risks and review of supplier capacities, as well as taking action in case of critical utilization, including escalation in case of delivery and cost issues

Further development, coordination, and execution of strategies for continuous improvement of procurement-relevant key figures and processes

Conducting international contract negotiations, as well as further development of contract quality and cross-site standardization
Your Profil

Completed university studies or a commercial apprenticeship combined with relevant professional experience in purchasing, or an equivalent qualification.

Solid and relevant disciplinary or lateral leadership experience, preferably in an international environment.

Practical experience with contract negotiations and drafting, as well as escalation management in English

Very good knowledge of MS Office and SAP-MM

Team player with strong communication skills, negotiation skills, and assertiveness

Fluent English language skills; additional foreign languages are an advantage (German, French, Chinese)

Willingness to undertake occasional national and international business trips
