Job Title: Financial Controller / Finance Manager
Location: Halton Borough, Runcorn
Work Arrangement: Site Based, on-site presence required for 2-3 days per week.

Finance Manager / Controller Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller / Finance Manager for an interim position. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations and providing strategic financial guidance during this contract period.
The ideal candidate will be able to quickly adapt to our financial environment, provide immediate value, and ensure smooth financial operations during this interim period. They should be comfortable working in a dynamic setting and be able to manage both strategic and hands-on aspects of financial management. Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making processes.
- Manage cash flow and working capital.
- Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders as required.
Experience Required
- Fully competent with Xero financial software (Essential)
- Proven track record in financial management and reporting.
- Experience in implementing financial systems and processes.
- Knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Previous experience in interim or contract finance roles is advantageous.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) strongly desired.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
